MTB yesterday 28 miles; 4000 feet - Westridge to Parker Mesa

Yesterday was scenic, but no photos. I am training for some big races this summer, so no more stopping. lol Last August, when I got news of the return of the cancer, I started a serious bucket list. I am racing April 8 in Austin, April 20 in Monterey, July in Breckenridge, and two races in Leadville, CO (July) -- 100 mile mountain bike races, and a three-day stage race, and a six-day stage race...if I make it. That altitude from 10K to 13K is a doozy in Leadville, CO. Training at home needs to be more 50 mile mountain bike rides with 5k to 10K of climbing. And it is with a sigh of relief, that I want to enjoy every day being happy and positive, like you are Rich Germosen. I am not wasting any more precious time complaining about work-related issues. Work, for this reporter, is a challenge, and I am so fortunate to love my job. But it is just a job that puts food on the table. My family, friends, health, EXERCISE, and being grateful are top of list. When I die, I don't think my stone will say "amazing reporter" l-- I hope it says "Leadville Finisher" I will be 59 on April 7. Multiple Myeloma and breast cancer have had their hands around my neck since 1989. I have lived with this terminal cancer since 1995. It seems to be fighting for control now, more than ever. If I have learned anything in nearly 59 years, is that gratitude is what has kept me alive, not chemo therapy, and certainly not work or work-whining. I love this exercise page, it is always positive. Thank you, Nikki Roy, for starting this! Thank you, Rich, for being the most positive person in my life. There are no coincidences. Sorry for the long post. But some things are life-threatening and some are not. It's time I get my priorities in order. In fact, this post is going on my blog. Plank away, yoga away, row away, run away..... but exercise!
