SoCal Fat tire 50 mile race in Temecula - Keith's first race and he killed the 50 miles - so proud
My nephew, Keith and I had a beautiful weekend. He flew to LA from Seattle Friday night. We drove yesterday to Temecula. I had the flu for three weeks and not feeling well, so I only did one lap of 25 miles.
More importantly, I wanted to give him a big hug when he came in the finish line. And he did - with a smile as big as Texas. He had so much fun. A lot of cramping on lap two - I have no words for how happy I am to share this experience with my nephew. We are home and tired. We uploaded the garmins, ate some girl scout cookies and he will sleep well tonight. He flies home tomorrow. IT has been a great weekend.
I am to find time to improve my climbing speed with some hard work!
