Back in the saddle - 40 miles and 5578 feet - working on zero elapse time!

Sullivan to Parker Mesa and back by stenogrl at Garmin Connect - Details

First day back in the saddle for about 10 days.   40 miles and 5578 feet of climbing and about 4:45 ride time.

I had one little emergency, or my stopped time would have been under 15 minutes!
This has been a long-time coming goal of mine on endurance rides.  Stop for water and bathroom and that's it!.  Eat while riding.  Goal achieved!

Yesterday I rode for Cycle for Survival.   There were 1700 riders sharing 300 stationary bikes for 12 hours and they raised nearly 14 million dollars for Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute for "rare cancers"

The timing was perfect.  Last Friday was my time to the oncologist since July 2011, once I waited so long, I was too scared to go back.  I do not like all this waiting for the results.   I have done this for 24 years between breast cancer and multiple myeloma.

I have a few photos from yesterday and today I will post soon.

Thank you to my family and friends (some of whom I know get my blog)  much love to you for chipping in and donating for such a beautiful cause.  I raised 3500.00 in a short time.   I was proud to be there and to ride for a cure.

And my trip to Atlanta to see my brother was far overdue and beautiful.   Family bonding for which there are no words.

Danielle and River spent the night with me on Friday.   It was the first time River slept with Oma and Mai -
It was another "moment"  as we say.   My life lately has been filled and overjoyed with "moments" of gratitude.

So, thank you, God for my life.
